About Me From Jenny with Love 🧡
Hi, I’m Jenny. I’m not just a food blogger. I’m a woman who found her way back to life—one recipe at a time.
I live in Washington, but my heart has wandered through many places—some real, and some only in memory. I learned to cook from the warm, wrinkled hands of my grandmother. Her kitchen smelled like cinnamon, rosemary, and something deeper—something like safety. I didn’t know back then how much her love and cooking would shape the woman I am today.
Growing up, I was the quiet girl. The observer. I always felt like I was living just outside the frame of the photo, not quite part of the scene. When my parents separated, that feeling became louder. Everything felt like it cracked a little deeper inside me. For three years, I watched them drift into silence… and then, somehow, come back to each other again. It was beautiful. Unexpected. And it made me believe that not everything broken stays broken.
That’s also when I found cooking again.
There was something about whisking eggs and folding flour into butter that felt like therapy. Like meditation. But also like rebellion—against silence, against emptiness, against loneliness. And when I cooked, I didn’t feel like the quiet girl anymore. I felt seen.
My favorite color is a soft summer orange. I don’t know if many people choose colors based on feelings, but I do. That shade of orange brings me back to warm evenings, gentle winds, and the kind of hope that doesn’t shout—it whispers. It reminds me of healing. Of how even after the darkest winters, summer always returns. Sometimes I think we all have a color like that—one that holds our memories and our strength.
I started Tasty Radar not because I wanted to “go viral,” but because I wanted to create a little home online. A place where women like you—who have lived, loved, lost, and started again—could find inspiration. Not just in food, but in life.
Here, I don’t just share recipes. I share pieces of myself.
I post what’s trending, yes, but also what’s meaningful. I test every recipe I post. I photograph what I actually eat. And I write like I’m writing to a friend—because I am.
If you’re here, you’re not just passing by. You’re part of my circle now.
You’ll find recipes that sparkle with fresh berries and creamy oats, but you’ll also find warmth between the lines. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll feel like someone else out there gets it. The joy of cooking for one. The chaos of cooking for family. The comfort of cooking through tears. The pride of feeding people you love.
Blogging and cooking made me feel like a phoenix—rising not from fire, but from the quiet ashes of who I used to be. And I hope that with every scroll, you feel a little more connected, a little more inspired, and a little more home.
So welcome to my kitchen, my journal, my heart.
Welcome to Tasty Radar.
I’m so happy you’re here.
With warmth,
Jenny
